no, i wasn’t busy or anything. i was just too lazy to blog.
so many things have happened but i can’t seem to put myself to blog about them, so let me try now..
after songkran allan and i had to literally drag ourselves out of bed. it was such a crappy feeling but we had to. and isn’t that such a terrible feeling? doing something out of obligation? so it’s been 5 days since we started working again and slowly, things are going back to normal.
i know it doesn’t sound nice of me to be saying how much i hate work. i know there are so many people who have families to feed but haven’t got jobs. i don’t want to sound such an ingrate.
i do love my job, or at least some parts of it. i am a teacher. i love being a teacher. i love spending time with the kids, laughing and playing with them. it’s the admin job i hate. i have to supervise teachers, hire teachers, keep tab of their lesson plans and objectives, check everything in the english department, and what have you. if it were only teaching, there would be no complaints from me, pramis.
anyhoo, allan and i watched…. prepare your eyes…. bituing walang ningning and bukas luluhod ang mga tala sa youtube. grabe, aliw. then we watched ang cute ng ina mo. while these are really entertaining, they are also time consuming. so we’ve stopped for now.
i might be up for a minor [please let it be minor] surgery tomorrow. so please pray for me. my thresh hold for pain is very, very low. this is really bothering me but i have to go through it.
i need all the prayers i can get.
salamat po!

second day of the four-day-holiday. it’s not that i am complaining but staying at home and having hours and hours of free time is a lil bit…uhmmm boring.
woke up at 10 am. breakfast in bed.
10:30 am sat in front of laptop and surfed the net
11:30 got a call from a friend. she invited us to join then in their songkran celebration lunch.
12noon still at home contemplating whether we should go or not. it’s wild outside with everybody throwing water at each other. we decided that we’ll go.
12:50 left the house. allan took a short cut. this proved to be a HUGE mistake. since the road we took is one that people rarely used, we were sitting ducks to the groups of people with buckets of ICE COLD water. arghhh. one hit me right in the face.
1:20pm arrived at the club house. people were already eating. since allan and i had late breakfast or brunch, we weren’t that hungry.
2pm we all went to the pool side. the boys got a bit rowdy and threw renz [another pinoy] into the pool. twice!!! poor thing didn’t know how to swim. he is safe, though.
3pm we all decided to go to the park where all the major water throwing happens. halfway to the park i told allan that i did not feel like going. so we told the other guys that we’d go head home instead. they folleowed us home and had a bit of snack.
4pm them guys were determined to join the fun in the park. we were left at home.
4:20pm took a bath, surfed the net while allan wathced tv
6pm dinner: rice and italian sausages e heheh tamad magluto
6pm watching tv too,
7:30 til now blogging. allan playing guitar.
hay.
i’m planning to call the guys over. allan and the boys can have a drink or two.

looks like i’m sticking to my guns and staying at wordpress.
i visited my old blog and attempted to drag all my posts from there to here. not cool, i did say that this is starting all over again.
still there were stuff in my old blog that will be good for remembering old times. if i could only find a way to store it somewhere but i guess the tiresome work is one more thing that’s holding me back. i also heard that blogdrive will be closing come December. i better start copying and pasting now.
but anyhoo, i am here for good.

we have officially moved in! last night was our first night here. allan and i invited and surprised our friends for dinner. the gathering also doubled as a bon voyage party to my hubby’s brother-in-law.
it did not take me a long time to feel right at home here. the place is really gorgeous that i was inwardly thinking that it felt like a hotel more than a home. i told this to allan and he said that he had the exact thoughts.
i would normally toss and turn before finally catching sleep, but last night, i slept like a baby. the opposite could be said of allan, who i always tease to be a MAPA, meaning mapalapat lang ang likod tulog na) he slept at around four and hit the wall on his was to the bathroom at about 5am. so, yeah allan’s still getting used to the place.
we already have a landline and our broadband is on its way. hopefully, all will be done by friday. i am so excited.
there are still a few things left over at the old house. we went there after class and were not able to haul everything in. i was just so tired with the moving (yesterday) and the 6 hour-teaching (today) that i was not in the mood for anything but rest.
last night as i was saving our new landline number, i asked allan what i would put in and he said FULL HOUSE, ha ha. allan’s a die-hard fan of korean movies although we hardly ever get our hands on them. we usually have to ask my mom to send some dvd’s from pinas to here.
it’s still scorching hot here. good thing songkran is just 10 days away.
we still have a lot of things we have to get rid of. allan likes to keep things while i like throwing things that only end up as clutter. yesterday, before leaving we saw this guy who buys junk and we got a whopping 600 baht for all of the things we did not need anymore.
i keep looking for imperfections to the Full House but I just can’t find any. the owners are very nice. last night they bought a brand new TV and gas range for us. and we don’t even cook that often.
will post pics once we have sorted everything.

The world is forever moving forward and things change and develop by the second. In order for us to catch on to the future, we must equip ourselves with skills that will match advanced technology in the years to come. What must we do to keep up with the times?
What jobs await for us in the future? It is a given that more people and more industries will rely heavily on computers, from employee identification, data processing, filing encoding and all that people used to do in the workplace. We can also expect things to be done in lesser time and in a quicker manner as people always seem to be in a hurry. There will also be an increase in the number of people operating on machines rather than hiring multiple people to do a certain job.
These future jobs can be a threat to manpower if we lack the proper skills and trainings to compete in an advanced setting. Improvement is the key word.
Continuous learning in your chosen field is always a good start. Not because you have landed on a secure post now means your stability is defined in the future. Remember that the only thing permanent in this life is change. Books, researches, case studies and information from the Internet are ways to help people who do not have the time to go to school or to enroll in special courses. These are effective and economical ways of learning.
Choosing a company that promotes continuous learning by sending its employees to seminars, trainings, social gatherings, and other educational functions is important in keeping you future goals intact. Being in a workplace that does not give chances for its people to grow and learn more is a waste of time.
In the end, it all goes down to you. How much are you willing to invest when it comes to securing your future? Are you content with being at the same desk doing the same things day after day or do you think and act knowing that the world is changing everyday and that new discoveries and new technology are just around the corner?
It lies in you, in what you can do and what you believe you can do to help and cope with the advent of technology.

i was never one to easily change from one thing to another. i have had my blogdrive blog for years now and have always attempted to move to someplace else. and each time i tried, i failed.
but now, i am seriously doing this. i want a personal touch to my personal blog. thus, a new beginning.
i am at a point in my life where everything is just a few steps away from a million changes. and at this point in my life, i have come to accept that not all changes are bad. well, most are unpleasant but not all unpleasant things stay that way. sometimes, life has its way of using the bad stuff to make way for great ones.
career-wise, it’s pretty much the same. no, i will not let my frustrations in the office work their way to my new beginning. my other blog is filled with those. come to think of it, this may be the reason for my resentment towards that blog.
in line with new beginnings, we are only a few days away from moving in to our new house. it feels wonderful to have something to look forward to. allan and i are busy preparing and decorating our new place. and it’s in the city center, too. that means we are just minutes away to everything that is convenient.
as if i were not busy enough, here i am still looking for things to fill my time. one thing shows promise but i will not say anything lest i jinx it.
it’s funny how i write in a tone that speaks to someone or to some people who are already reading my blog. but maybe in time, there will be people here, and there will be exchange of wise banter, jokes and laughter.
hmm, a new beginning that will lead to new friendships.
just what i need.
